Man sentenced for Llantwit Fardre killing
A man who entered a house in Llantwit Fardre and killed the 65-year-old woman who lived there has been sentenced.
Luke Deeley, 26, was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia at the time when he entered June Fox Roberts’ house in the early hours of 21 November 2021.
Deeley attacked the victim in the hallway causing multiple injuries to her head, arms and body.
Matthew Greenish of the CPS said: “June Fox Roberts lost her life in the most tragic circumstances.
“Our thoughts are with June’s family and friends who have our deepest sympathies over their loss.”
Luke Deeley pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and was sentenced on 28 April 2023 to a hospital order which is indefinite.
