DPP meetings with social media companies, 2012
Request
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information from the CPS.
When Keir Starmer was Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) from 2008-13, he had an official meeting with Facebook in November 2012, and Twitter in December 2012, to discuss "social media". These are listed on his official meetings with outside organisations register.
Please disclose which individual/individuals from these companies the meetings were with, briefing notes prepared for the meetings, and any official notes made from the meeting by CPS staff.
Response
Following a thorough search of our records, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) can confirm that it does not hold any information falling within the scope of your request. Given the passage of time, any such material would be subject to our retention policy.
