A man has been sentenced today for the manslaughter of Robert West, who was fatally stabbed outside a Birmingham club.

A man has been convicted for attempting to acquire a lethal and prohibited Skorpion sub machine gun and for supplying cocaine.

Arthur Hawrylewicz, 42, was sentenced at the Inner London Crown Court today (24 April 2023) to 10 years imprisonment after he attempted to throw a woman in the path of an oncoming train at King’s Cross underground tube station.

As part of a collective effort across the criminal justice system to tackle the discrepancy between rape and sexual offence cases being reported and taken to court, senior police officers and legal managers across the country are now working closer and communicating more regularly. In the West Midlands, this has contributed to a 33% rise in charges for rape and serious sexual offences.
