The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has published final guidelines on prosecuting cases of Child Sexual Abuse. This follows a public consultation on the interim guidelines which was launched on 11 June 2013.
The guidelines are designed to set out the approach that prosecutors should take when dealing with child sexual abuse cases.

In August 2008, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) launched a public consultation on its refresh of its Public Policy Statement on prosecuting cases of rape. The aim of the consultation was to seek a wide range of views to inform the policy and practice of the CPS in relation to prosecuting cases of rape.
